With Google Music Search just released today, the quintessential search engine and the force behind the much-discussed Andriod now has a new function under its belt, creating an all-encompassing Google experience. Don’t remember the title of that ear bug or that song you really want to download from last night’s club spin? Sweat not, just key in part of the lyrics or anything you can remember and Google will be able to churn up results with an instant play option with help from MySpace and Lala. While Yahoo already has a similar service offered prior to Google, for the Google fanatics this would be an evangelizing bonus.

The brief was easy… “Draw anything, on anything A5.” The team got stuck in creating their masterpieces. For 15mins we put aside our deadlines and had a bit of fun going back to basics… pen, paper and some great ideas.

GoodMorning! is a Twitter visualization tool which shows about 11,000 tweets collected over a 24 hour period between August 20th and 21st. The tweets were harvested to find people saying ‘good morning’ in English as well as several other languages.

Beneath the cobwebs of Playstation 1 and Xbox lies the distant memory of Nintendo, “a world when video games were a wild sensation looking to take hold.” What a blessing the rapid progression of technology is!

Using the BBC’s Big Screens, which are installed in various UK city centres, the Hand From Above playfully transforms passers-by. “Unsuspecting pedestrians will be tickled, stretched, flicked or removed entirely in real-time by a giant deity.”

“The BBC Big Screen is fitted with a CCTV camera, linked into a computer that runs the software then outputs to the screen. The software picks a person based on their proportions and how apart they are from other people, then tracks the blob over time using optical flow.

Audi is setting new Augmented Reality standards with their latest A4 Configurator. Using Microsoft Surface supposedly soon in dealerships, the Configurator allows users to build their ultimate A4 in an immersive 3D environment. Showcase at this year’s IAA - the world’s leading automotive fair, it allows you to configure an Audi A4 simultaneously by changing the car’s paint finishes, rims and by selecting and coloring style package components.

The Silicon Cape Initiative Launch witnessed 500 plus delegates in support of what will undoubtedly grow into South Africa’s next largest, exportable commodity. Politicians, entrepreneurs, VC’s and web 2.0 savvy fundies enjoyed a morning of interactive creative-genius listening and participating in ensuring that we do what’s necessary and plan ahead.
