Walking away with the Loeries

Walking away with the Loeries

With the Loerie Awards 2009 moving from Margate to Cape Town, we didn’t really know what to expect. A fair bit of rain failed to hamper proceedings with Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille getting the Saturday night Electronic evening off to a cracking start. In amongst the madness we happened to walk away with quite a few lovely, shiny birds that we are extremely proud of.

HelloComputer’s in-house Illustration Department, “NewBlack” took on the task with Lead Illustrator, Simon Maclennan heading up the project.

HelloComputer visits 27Dinner

Last week saw in my introduction to the renowned 27Dinner. Being a newbie, meeting the people who we all follow regularly on Twitter and via their blogs can be rather intimidating. The dinner hosts the local industry masterminds; bloggers, authors, lecturers, eMarketing gurus, mobile fundies and entrepreneurs in their respective fields. Co-founded by Mike Stopforth and Dave Duarte, the event essentially stimulates networking and collaboration within the digital space and very successfully at that.
